Hey all,
I have a bare-knuckle competition coming up in Denver in three weeks (April 16) and could use all help from all level Muay Thai students and fighters.
If you are a novice, you can hit me all you want and I will work on my defense and conditioning. If you are an experienced fighter, we'll go toe to toe. I'll train with anyone.
Right now I train in Alexandria and Dulles Mon-Fri at 12 PM and occasionally on Saturdays in Dulles at 11 AM. An hour before and after the class would be great for me.
Let me know if you can help, thanks. _________________ Toly "The Russian Concussion" |

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped me in the past 6 weeks. Words of encouragement, liver shots, low kicks, hooks to the head - all of this stuff paid off. 2nd place in the 2011 Sabaki Challenge in Denver. Now let's focus on that 6/11 Smoker!!! Train hard, Team! _________________ Toly "The Russian Concussion" |

Thanks Jeremy!
The website is http://sabaki.enshin.com/ - a premiere full-contact karate event in the US. Pretty much a mix of Muay Thai bare-knuckle style with Judo a la Karate flavor.
Don't have many pix yet, but will post them soon. Here's a couple... I'm #25.

Very cool. What is the rule set for this type of event? _________________ Sometimes the cards aren't worth a dime if you don't lay them down... |

No pads no gloves no cage no taping. Most blows and kicks to the body and extremities allowed save for spine, groin and knees. No punches/elbows to the head, but knees and kicks to the head are OK. Grabs on on the same side of the body / sweeps / throws are good. No ground fighting. Very similar to Muay Thai but also some distinct differences. And oh those bare knuckle / bare shin body shots hurt. _________________ Toly "The Russian Concussion" |
