I'd love to, but count me out. I'm going to try and move from Cruiser to Welter before I compete again. _________________ Pong 4 life!!1! |

guys, this is actually a good tournament. they are well run and its only an hour away in richmond. i highly reccomend going to this event if you are trying to decide.
its a great event for a first time or rookie competitor. small crowd, well run, not a long day.
guys, please post if you are planning on going. we will get a master list together like copa nova. _________________ I will hold the candle 'til it burns up my arm,

I do not know yet. It depends on one or two things. I will not be sure until tomorrow. Check your email from Tuesday. _________________ The idea of Jiu-Jitsu is to give the little guy a chance to beat the big guy.

even if no gi is scheduled to be first, it depends on how fast the brackets run and which table your divisions are supposed to be at. you never really know what will happen. you just have to keep your head on a swivel and keep your ears open while you are there. _________________ I will hold the candle 'til it burns up my arm,

My boss was kind enough to make other plans for me tomorrow so I am not going to be competing.
If I can break out at a reasonable time I will be there to cheer on the home team and take some footage. |

Taylor was the only show for this tourney. He won 2nd in Advanced No Gi, losing to a Brazilian brown belt straight off the boat on points. He didn't fare as well in the absolute and gi divisions, but was happy with the experience he gained.
He also said it was a VERY small tournament. Smallest he'd ever been to with respect to total number of competitors. |
