Lowdown on the old timer: Tom Slick, a well-known nutter in SF/Oakland area. Apparently a decorated Vietnam combat vet with a serious case of take-no-$h!t, though it would be interesting to see what precipitated the whole exchange. Regardless, attitude and posturing only take you so far. Don't yak it unless you can back it.
