CrossFit Seminar Review

Jerry Hill put on an awesome free seminar on Saturday, answering everyone's questions and covering some fundamentals for kettlebells, weights and bodyweight exercises. Jerry took the time to explain each exercise and made sure everyone had prefect technique. The seminar ended with two quick circuits that left all attendees feeling smoked. Everyone got to see first-hand why the Alexandria CrossFit Challenge is the premiere fitness program in the Alexandria, Arlington and Washington DC area.

Royce Training For Sakuraba

From ADCC News:

Royce Gracie is in the final stages of preparation for his K1 Dynamite USA fight against Kazushi Sakuraba on June 2nd at the LA Coliseum. Kid was present to one of these training sessions last week. Under the watchful eyes of his brother and coach Royler Gracie and Boxing coach Claudio Coelho, Royce took turns at sparring with his cousin Rodrigo and nephew Ralek. The training session went fast and furious but most impressive was watching Gracies of different generations training together.

After the training session Royce, Royler, Claudio and Kid all went to visit former World Surfing Champion Sunny Garcia at his Da Hui business. There working side by side with Sunny was none other than fighter/manager Bobby Gamboa, everyone had a good time talking battle stories.

De La Riva v. Murrumba

This video shows Ricardo De La Riva training. Note the excellent guard work against a much larger black belt, which must be what it takes to have a guard named after you. Enjoy:

Ronaldo "Jacare" v. Fabricio Werdum

Both Jacare and Werdum hold impressive records in grappling competition, including the Mundials and ADCC. More recently, Werdum has received attention for his participation in Pride and UFC, as well as for training Mirko Crocop in grappling. This is a gi match from an absolute division (Werdum is the heavier of the two).
