Bernhard v. The Beast

Here's the video of Jerry Jones v. Michael Bernhard. This was Mike's first trip to Capital since moving to Florida, and he's definitely taken his game to the next level while training at Freestyle Figthing Academy (FFA) with Marcos and David Avellan.

Capital Jiu-Jitsu to Appear on Daily Cafe

Capital Jiu-Jitsu has made television once again! We will be featured on the show Daily Cafe, a talk/news program geared towards Baby Boomers. Iman and Cheryl will be demonstrating some basic self-defense techniques for women. The segment will air this Monday, July 30th, at about 3:00pm. The whole show will last from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Daily Cafe is broadcast nationally, not just to the Northern Virginia, South Riding to Arlington/Alexandria area.

CJJ Takes 3rd Place at US Grappling

Capital Jiu-Jitsu took large group of comeptitors to Richmond VA for the US Grappling Team Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. CJJ took home its first purple belt gold medeal and took 3rd place in the team standings. Capital Jiu-Jitsu In-House Tournament

The Capital Jiu-Jitsu In-House Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 11th, 2007. This will be an adults only No Gi Tournament, and divisions are open ONLY to current members of Capital Jiu-Jitsu. Pre-registration forms are coming soon; sign up then and compete.

Registration Fee: $10

Weigh-ins: 1:00pm

Fights Begin: 1:30pm

Adults' Divisions
Adults are divided by weight with the exception of the Absolute Division which is open to all competitors, regardless of size. There will be three weight divisions, and the cut-off for each division will be determined after the weigh-ins to ensure competitors will be equally distributed in each bracket.

There will also be a women's Absolute Division (no weight brackets.)
