Boxing Classes Added in Old Town Alexandria/Arlington VA
Beginning January 4th, Capital Jiu-Jitsu Old Town Alexandria/Arlington VA will offer Boxing classes as part of the Muay Thai Kickboxing program. Boxing has long been considered one of the top striking arts and these new classes will give everyone enrolled in the CJJ Muay Thai program that chance to train even more at no additional cost!

Devon has been teaching Ashtanga yoga since 2000 and has taught throughout the US and Puerto Rico. Devon has trained extensively with Beryl Bender Birch of the Hard and Soft Ashtanga Yoga Center and has completed their Yoga Alliance certification; she is one of Beryl's recommended teachers on her website, Power Yoga. Before giving birth to her son in 2005, she traveled throughout the US assisting Ms. Birch with teacher training. Devon has also traveled throughout southeast Asiastudying and cultivating her meditation and yoga practices. Aside from teaching yoga, she is also a massage therapist and polarity practitioner and recently began teaching natural childbirth classes.

Capital Jiu-Jitsu fighters Taylor Dixon and Iman Achhal both won their CageFest Mixed Martial Arts fights this weekend in Norfolk, bringing two championship belts back to Old Town Alexandria. Taylor defeated Zach Allen by Monson Choke in the first round, winning the men's 170lb title. Iman fought Bethany Marshall, winning the women's 135lb title by Ref. stoppage in round 3.
