Taylor Dixon Makes Pro MMA Debut 12/13/08

Capital Jiu-Jitsu fighter Taylor Dixon will make his professional Mixed Martial Arts debut on December 13th at Battle at the Nations Capital I at theDC Armory in Washington DC. Taylor is undefeated in amateur MMA bouts and he will face Buck Grant from in his first professional fight. In addition to the 7 pro MMA fights on the card, MMA starts Renzo Gracie and Maurice Smith will sign autographs.

4 CJJ fighters participated in Mixed Martial Arts fights this weekend at Valhalla IX in Herndon/Sterling VA at the Dulles Sportsplex.

Valhalla IX saw a lot of great fights - and it is clear to me that the fight teams represented are really improving with respect to the caliber of fighter they are producing!

Stan was up first from CJJ. He fought very hard and stuck to a solid game plan - especially in the first round (he was using a guard attack strategy, hunting for a triangle choke.)

UFC MMA champion Royce Gracie will be in Northern Virginia at Capital Jiu-Jitsu in Old Town Alexandria/Arlington on Friday, October 10th, and Capital Jiu-Jitsu Loudoun County on Saturday October 11th to teach classes in submission wrestling, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense.

Royce will be teaching 4 classes for this seminar,and students of all levels are welcome. We are reserving a limited number of slots for each class, so sign up early.
